Have you heard the news about Halloween Time at Disneyland this year? New for 2019 is the Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party.  Who is ready for our Disney Vacation Deals!

This separate, ticketed Halloween event will take the place of Mickey’s Halloween Party at the Disneyland Resort from now on.

The Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party

In years past, Mickey’s Halloween Party was the event to attend. It was held in Disneyland Park and was a way to experience Halloween at its fullest at the Resort. This year, there’s a new Halloween host in town and he’s moving the party to Disney California Adventure Park. My friends at Get Away Today have shared all the Oogie Boogie Bash details with me so you can grab tickets before they’re gone.

Oogie Boogie Bash Dates

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins September 6 and continues until October 31, 2019. The Oogie Boogie Bash will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights beginning September 17 and ending October 31, 2019.

Each night, the Oogie Boogie Bash will kick off at 6pm in Disney California Adventure Park and end at 11pm. While Disney California Adventure Park will close early for those not attending the Oogie Boogie Bash, you can still head over to Disneyland if you have a Park Hopper ticket and enjoy a few more hours of Disney fun there.

Oogie Boogie Bash Events

If you were excited about World of Color returning to Disneyland, then hopefully you’ll be happy to hear it’s getting a temporary makeover during the Oogie Boogie Bash. The new show Villainous puts an eerie overlay on World of Color, giving it a Halloween emphasis featuring some of Disney’s most infamous villains. During the Oogie Boogie Bash, characters from Descendants will participate in the nighttime event, DescenDance, hosted in the Backlot of Hollywood Land.

The parade from Mickey’s Halloween Party will also make its way over to the Oogie Boogie Bash so you can still enjoy the Frightfully Fun Parade you know and love from previous visits to Disneyland during Halloween Time. The Oogie Boogie Bash will offer trick or treat opportunities, a spooky overlay of Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, opportunities to meet Disney villains and so much more.

Oogie Boogie Bash Rides

Since the Oogie Boogie Bash is being hosted in Disney California Adventure Park, guests at this Halloween Time event will be able to ride whatever is operational at DCA during the day. You can be sure that Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! will transform to Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark during the evenings throughout Halloween Time, meaning you could ride it twice in one day and have two different experiences.

Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets

As mentioned, Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party is a separate, ticketed event. This means that you need to purchase tickets directly through Disney, and which will give you access to Disney California Adventure Park up to four hours before the Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights.

So, not only will you be able to attend the five hour bash, but you could have four additional hours of park time beforehand. Tickets for Annual Passholders, Disney Visa card holders and Disney Vacation Club Members went on sale April 23, 2019. Tickets for the general public are available as of April 30, 2019 and all tickets start at $110 each.

Oogie Boogie Bash Overview

As a reminder, this new, Halloween Time event at will be replacing Mickey’s Halloween Party in Disneyland Park. The Oogie Boogie Bash will be hosted in Disney California Adventure Park, and tickets to the Bash will grant Disney California Adventure Park admission up to four hours prior to the party on select days. Costumes will most likely be permitted, but must still follow Disneyland’s guidelines- which can be found on their website. It’s sure to be a frightfully good time for guests of all ages!
