Disney Food and Wine Festival 2019

This celebration of cuisine at Disneyland begins March 1, and goes until April 23, 2019. The Disney Food and Wine Festival has been so popular in the past that this year Disneyland extended how long it runs! This will give you even more time to sip, sample and stroll your way through the menus. Since there is so much to talk about, I’ve partnered with the experts at Get Away Today to share details of this year’s Food and Wine Festival.

Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2019

Hosted in Disney California Adventure Park, the Food and Wine Festival will have events and hands-on activities for all ages. Little chefs can whip something up with Chef Goofy, while adult chefs can participate in celebrity chef demonstrations with some of the best Food Network stars. On weekends, guests of all ages can glean tips from cooking demonstrations; it’s like your favorite cooking show except LIVE!

If Disney food gives you a reason to live, you may want to consider attending the demonstrations from Disney chefs themselves. You’ll learn more about how they create some of your most favorite cuisine within the Disneyland Resort; there’s even a Disney Festival Cookbook that will be available for purchase while supplies last. Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to whip up some of your favorite Disneyland meals or treats at home?

Many of the events are included in regular park admission, while some will require advance registration and additional payment. Let me break that down for you below:

Disney Food and Wine Festival - No Reservations Required

Friday, Saturday and Sunday Cooking Demonstrations with Chefs

Better than watching your favorite food shows, these live cooking demonstrations will offer tips and tricks for upping your game in your own home kitchen.

Kiosks/The Marketplace Quick Service Foods (up to $14.99 per adult)

Stroll through The Marketplace to find cuisine not only from around the world, but local to California as well. Prices vary at the various vendors, and you’re sure to find something for everyone. The Festival Marketplace menu is available online at the Disneyland website so you can take a look at what you can expect on your trip.

Seminars

Throughout the course of the Food and Wine Fest, chef Daniella Malfitano is expected to give 30 minute demonstrations to guests. She has a focus on making family meal times the highlight of the day.

Kids Cooking

As mentioned above, junior chefs aged 3 - 11 will have a chance to cook with Chef Goofy himself! Slots are on a first come, first serve basis, and this activity will be located on the Hollywood Backlot.

Dine with Disney Chefs

This event will bring you face to face with the geniuses behind the delicious Disney food we all know and love! Imagine meeting the masters of creations we devour at the Park. Not only will you enjoy a four course meal with Disney Chefs, but you will also get to mingle with them and hopefully have a chance to get your Disney Festival Cookbook signed in person. Price tag for this event is $225 per person.

Sweet Sundays

Sweet Sundays will be your chance during the Festival to focus on dessert. Ticketed guests will not only participate in the creation of the desserts, but will get to take samples as well. Samples aren’t available at all the demonstrations, so be sure to check all those details on the Food and Wine Festival website. The price tag for this experience is $110 per person.

Winemake Receptions

This two night event will allow you taste some of the best wines from California and beyond. Choose one of the two available nights to learn from local sommeliers about wine pairings with gourmet food.

Mixology Demonstrations

Get hands on during the mixology demonstrations and tastings at the Disney Food and Wine Festival. In this 45 minute offering, guests will be able to create their own cocktails, focus on craft beers or really dive more into wines. Choose your topic and learn from the best!
