Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel – a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel Review

Anaheim Majestic Garden - A Review

On our last trip to Disneyland, I decided to veer off of what was comfortable (like our visits to HOJO) and “try out” another Good Neighbor Hotel at Disneyland, the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. At a half a mile away from Disneyland, it competes well with the other Good Neighbor Hotels.

Amenities - Let’s first cover the amenities the property has to offer as there are many:

• ½ mile from Disney
• Onsite Restaurant & Café
• Business Services
• Cash Machine (ATM)
• Guest Services & Disney Desk
• Guest Laundromat
• Multilingual Staff
• Medical Services Available
• Vending Machine
• Safe Deposit Boxes
• Concierge Service
• 100% Non-Smoking Rooms and Facilities
• Castle & Themed Rooms
• Disability Accessible Facilities
• Laundry Service
• Family Game Room, Video Arcade & Billiards
• Fitness Center
• Outdoor Whirlpool & Heated Pool
• Gift Shop
• Self-Parking Facilities 18 USD per day
• Free transportation to Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure® Park, available during park hours (if you miss the shuttle, you can walk back although it will make for a long day, speaking from experience).
• Internet Access

Here is the scoop.

Upon arrival it was easy to locate as you cannot miss the castle themed hotel, you can also see it from the nearby highway. Check-in was a breeze and after a little bit of a search (there are a lot of buildings which are located on a total of 13-acres) we found our building and room located on the first floor.

Our room was a standard two queen bed room. I have to say the room was very spacious with tall ceilings, the bathroom was a little small, but not a deal breaker. The room hosted a small refrigerator, two chairs and a table as well as plenty of room for bags. I was a little worried about the noise from the highway, but it wasn’t an issue for our room.

The price was great, and it is actually what first drew me to the hotel; around $100 per night, which did not include the parking fee of $18 per night. There were a few reasons why I chose this hotel, one was the price (of course because I love a good deal), the other the free transportation to/from Disneyland. This had to be the highlight of the stay as I’ve only stayed at hotels where you had to walk to the front gates.

The shuttle, drops you off closer and runs all day until the park closes (if you venture onto Downtown Disney after the park closes, be prepared to walk back). The drivers were great as they would let us know where we might find the shuttle on pick-up. The shuttle was a big gold star.

There were no issues at all with the room, which was surprising (we stay in a lot of hotels, issues are just a thing). It was clean and spacious. The pool was comfortable, with plenty of seating & a few cabanas to enjoys some time away from the park and the sun. The laundry area was located right by the pool, so you could swim and get some laundry done at the same time.

The grounds seemed to be a little unkept, with some garbage here and there, but nothing out of hand. The staff was gracious, if you had a question or needed something for your stay, they were on top of it. Another big gold star.

Overall, I would say that this Good Neighbor Hotel was a very nice stay. No drama, police, parties, fire alarms or bugs (yes this happens). With this trip our focus was at the Disneyland Parks, and not really our hotel unlike a trip to Disney World. So, we really enjoyed having a comfy place to come and either swim or rest our heads and start up again early the next morning with the shuttle waiting. I would have to say it was just right for the price we paid, and we were able to spend our savings from the hotel elsewhere at the parks or Downtown Disney.  Ready to start planning your next Disney vacation?  Contact us now!
