Keep Calm and Call You Disney Travel Planner!

Hello again! So, first things first. Let’s talk about the elephant (or Mouse) in the room. Does it cost anything to use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (aka Travel Agent)? If not, why? Also, why use a Disney Vacation Planner such as yourself?

Good questions! Here is the deal. When I first started my Disney travels I wanted to know if it made sense to book directly through Disney or use a Disney Planner (this was before my travel planner days). Would a Disney Vacation Planner cost any extra money $$ for me to use? The answer to this question is NO…it does not cost you as the guest, anything extra to use a Disney Travel Planner, you do not pay the commission on the trip, Disney pays the Planner/Agent directly.

What happens if you do not use a Disney Planner? Another good question, that commission goes back to Disney, you do not see it in any discount given to you as the guest. Disney and the Cast Members all strive to make your experience as magical as possible, giving you the option to choose either booking directly with Disney or through an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.

Generally, when people say it is cheaper to not use a Planner/Agent, it is most likely due to the fact that they are separating the packages out from multiple vendors, such as booking directly through the airline, hotel or car/bus rental. And don’t get me wrong, this is ok do it. Is it worth it…sometimes yes (especially when you have airline miles or passes), it is, but in general you will get the best experience, and the majority of the time, the best deal booking Disney with a Disney Planner as we have firsthand knowledge of the best deals and specials and when they may launch.

Why use a Disney Planner? Simply put, it will save you time (lots of it, I’m talking hours and hours, trust me), stress and often times money. Disney Planners can compare specials coupled with the experience that you desire on your vacation. Perks include a travel itinerary, dining reservations, setting up grocery delivery, travel planner assistance (for example which resorts/rooms are a better fit for you and why), assistance with resolving any bumps along the way, often times special mementos such as luggage tags and much more! I mean when it comes down to it, using a Disney Vacation Planner will often times make the most sense.
